Sequel shortlisted for two awards at the European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2017

Sequel has been shortlisted in two categories for this year’s European IT & Software Excellence Awards. The event, now in its 9th year, is Europe’s premier awards programme for ISVs, solutions providers and systems integrators and we are particularly pleased as this is the third year Sequel has been nominated for these awards.

Our work with Eaton Gate has been shortlisted for ‘Best Software Solution of the Year’. Eaton Gate selected Sequel Origin, our innovative e-trading, distribution and straight-through-processing tool. Sequel Origin sifts and combines the reams of data required to analyse and price difficult insurance risks, and it can also be employed to build new products based on emerging market opportunities. Origin provides all the functions needed by a broker like Eaton Gate to streamline their businesses and improve the way they operate.

Meanwhile, Sequel’s Eclipse Underwriting solution has been nominated for the ‘Vertical Solution of the Year’ category. The software was recently adopted by the Blenheim syndicate, an insurance firm, under the oversight of Asta, a turnkey managing agent in the Lloyd’s insurance market. Eclipse is designed to help specialty insurance market participants to handle their sophisticated and complex data processing and analysis requirements. Sequel Eclipse allows users to achieve significantly enhanced functionality, in addition to enabling the business to operate at peak efficiency.

It is an honour for Sequel to be named as one of Europe’s leading solutions providers from a list of over 500 companies representing 28 European countries. The winners will be announced at a ceremony held at the Royal Garden Hotel in London on 30th March. We look forward to seeing our fellow nominees there, and wish all those shortlisted for the awards the best of luck.
